The mSystem is a class of next-generation wireless access products featuring multiple radios combined with a mesh routing architecture. Used in conjunction, mSystem products such as the APM-300 and AP-3G deliver wireless solutions providing network and Internet access to Wi-Fi® users, which scale from campus-wide to city-wide to regional coverage. mSystem solutions support data, voice and video, and fi t seamlessly within metro wireless (WMAN) infrastructure such as WiMAX and wide area wireless (WWAN) such as 3G UMTS, to deliver last-mile access to standard 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi devices.

CampusMesh – local area wireless networks
CampusMesh is an outdoor and indoor WLAN solution delivering Ethernet connectivity between buildings and simultaneous Wi-Fi coverage. CampusMesh enables business parks, schools and colleges, libraries, and shopping centers to be connected to a data network using a wireless backbone rather than fixed cable, dramatically reducing cost of deployment. Just install a CampusMesh node wherever Ethernet or Wi-Fi is needed. As a site evolves, new or temporary buildings can be provisioned with Ethernet connectivity simply by adding a new node, while providing employees, students and visitors with always-on, secure Internet access with roaming mobility across the entire location.

CityMesh – metro-scale wireless networks
CityMesh is an outdoor and indoor WMAN solution that enables metro-scale coverage for Wi-Fi clients. mSystem nodes can be installed on buildings, street lights, bus shelters; anywhere there is power. No Ethernet cabling is required as traffi c is passed over a wireless mesh to the network gateway on a secondary 802.11radio path, mitigating interference and network congestion. CityMesh supports direct connection of IP cameras for low-cost security installations, VLANs for separation of municipal and public access networks, and captive portal with RADIUS AAA authentication and billing for pay-per-use applications.

MobileMesh – portable ‘anywhere’ wireless networks
MobileMesh is a fully portable wireless system that combines Wi-Fi user access with 3G and mesh backhaul, providing a mobile solution for deployment in buses, coaches and taxis, emergency service vehicles, or wherever Internet access is needed. MobileMesh connectivity is pervasive and intelligent; when within range of a CampusMesh or CityMesh network, MobileMesh will automatically switch
to choose the higher capacity backhaul route ensuring that Wi-Fi clients are always best connected whether by 3G, xDSL, or WiMAX.
